This was a magical night of music and light. With a flaming parade of torches flowing through the city towards the castle for a fireworks show.

2010 marks the 1600th anniversary of the end of Roman Britain and this event was part of the celebrations which involved illuminating Hadrian’s Wall with a line of light from coast to coast.
